Magnolia’s Matchbook

was created from a deeply personal, full circle moment in my life. Growing up, I helped care for my twin cousins—babysitting them, teaching them, and watching them grow.

As I grew up and started having children of my own, those same cousins I once cared for became our go-to babysitters. It’s truly a full circle moment—because I used to babysit them, and now they’re the ones caring for my special needs children. Even more meaningful, they’ve both chosen careers working with exceptional children, making this connection even more personal and purposeful. Not just because they’re family, but because they are now licensed ABA techs who work with children like my own—Magnolia Rose, who is nonverbal, and David James, who is steadily building his vocabulary and independence.

Through them, we’ve connected with other trusted ABA techs and RBTs, and honestly, we’ve been spoiled—we only use trained professionals as sitters because we know how important it is to have someone who understands and is equipped to support exceptional children.

We created Magnolia’s Matchbook so other families could have access to that same peace of mind. Every sitter is experienced, trained, and committed to providing care that’s as thoughtful and specialized as what your child would receive in a center—right in the comfort of your home.

    Hello! My name is Mallori Lee, and I’m proud to serve as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) with Butterfly Effects ABA, where I’ve been growing my skills for the past year and a half. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation from Southern University A&M College in 2024, and I’ve spent the last 10 years working with children, including 6 years supporting children on the autism spectrum.

    My passion for working with exceptional children was inspired by my little cousin, who opened my heart to the beauty and joy within the neurodivergent community. I love embracing the unique challenges and vibrant personalities that each child brings — no two days are ever the same!

    I’m also CPR certified and committed to providing a safe, engaging, and supportive experience for your child. I would be honored to meet your family and be part of your child’s growth and joy.

    Hello! My name is Madisyn Lee! I graduated in December 2024 with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and currently work as an ABA Therapist with Butterfly Effects ABA. I’ve been in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis for 7 months, and while I’m early in my career, I’ve quickly grown passionate about supporting neurodivergent children and their families.

    I believe every child is unique, and I enjoy learning how to connect with each one through play, communication tools, or simply showing patience and understanding. I’m also CPR certified, with safety as my top priority when caring for children.

    Hi, I’m Jasmine! I’ve been a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) for over 3 years, currently working at Thrive Behavioral Services. I have 7 years of overall experience working with children, and I’m especially passionate about supporting autistic and neurodivergent kids.

    I love creating calm, sensory-friendly environments and helping kids feel safe while having fun. Whether your family needs a date night, a quiet evening to reset, or help during a family event, I’m here to help. I’m CPR certified and comfortable with nonverbal communication, visual supports, and reinforcement strategies.

    Outside of work, I enjoy painting, yoga, and finding new sensory activities to share with kids I care for!

    Hello! I’m Sophia Martinez, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with over 5 years in the field of behavior analysis and early intervention. I work at Bright Steps ABA and have experience with toddlers through teens across a wide range of abilities.

    While my full-time work is in therapy, I’ve seen firsthand how difficult it is for parents to find trained, trustworthy babysitters — so I’m happy to offer occasional sitting services through The Magnolia Matchbook.

    I’m well-versed in behavior supports, communication devices (AAC), and adapting activities to each child’s needs. I also offer evening availability twice a month for families who need an experienced provider for a special night out or event.

Magnolia Matchbook Rate & Policy Guide

To ensure fairness and clarity for both families and sitters, the following standard rates and guidelines will apply to all childcare services arranged through our matchbook:

💲 Hourly Rates

Rates are based on the number of children and their individual needs:

  • One Child (Typical Needs) – $15/hour

  • One Child (Special Needs) – $15/hour

  • Two Children – $20/hour

  • Three Children – $30/hour

(If two or more children are special needs or require more involved care, sitters may adjust rates accordingly, within reason.)

🧾 Minimum Booking Requirement

  • 2-hour minimum is required for all bookings
    (Families will be charged for the full 2 hours, even if care is only needed for 1–1.5 hours)

🚗 Travel Fee

  • A $5–$15 travel fee may be added to compensate sitters traveling more than 15 miles one-way

  • Final travel fee is set by the sitter and disclosed prior to booking

🛑 Special Needs Care Note

Families with children who are:

  • Nonverbal

  • Not potty trained

  • Medically complex

Should be prepared to discuss those needs upfront. Rates may vary slightly to reflect the level of care required, but base rates above still apply as a guide.

📌 Important Reminders:

  • Sitters may not negotiate lower rates with families. Rates are standard and non-negotiable.

  • Payment is made directly to the sitter at the agreed-upon rate and time.

  • Families must provide all necessary care supplies (diapers, wipes, snacks, etc.).

  • A clear understanding of expectations should be discussed and agreed upon before the scheduled sitting time.
